Bio
Sydney is the Managing Consultant for D2 Legal Technology in Canada. Sydney previously worked for a Schedule A Canadian bank in capital markets where she developed their enterprise processes and technology for management of offset and collateral netting requirements across products and served as the subject matter expert on offset netting and collateral recognition. She has additional experience in risk and control self-assessment (“RCSA”) processes for Basel operational risk reporting, policy and procedure drafting, and has served as secretary for the board of the bank’s dealer.
Sydney works across legal, data and business domains, advising on strategies to reduce risk, regulatory capital and components of deal pricing. She holds an LLM in Securities Law from Osgoode Hall School of Law, an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and a post-graduate certificate in Management and Analysis of Enterprise Data from the University of Toronto.
Sydney also manages the D2LT internal training program and previously served as a committee chair for the Toronto Chapter of Women in Capital Markets, as well as serving as past president of the local symphony orchestra.
