The contract is expected to initially be for a 6 month to 1 year period, with the possibility of becoming permanent. The role would suit either those waiting to begin a training contract or those seeking an in-house career in financial services.
Successful candidates should be focused, with an innate desire to succeed, coupled with drive, energy and the ability to work independently or as member of a team with the initiative to take advantage of the training opportunities the roles offers.
A large proportion of the work will involve the research and analysis of legal agreements and the presentation of findings for use by senior client stakeholders. This will form a key input into the development of an artificial intelligent technology system (used to capture data from contracts), requiring close work and communication with business stakeholders (such as the client CVA and collateral optimisation desks), data modellers and IT developers. Alternatively, the candidate may be asked to work on a legal-opinion data project with a focus on netting and collateral enforceability of various master agreements.
They may get involved in business development / marketing if they have an interest in this area.
