AI Skills Training & UK Government Funding Opportunity
The use of AI is rising rapidly, with the legal industry recognised as one being particularly impacted. For law firms and in-house teams, this is not a matter of being replaced by AI, but being replaced by those that are using it better.
To support and encourage innovation and advancement in the adoption of AI, the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) has launched a £7.4 million pilot scheme to subsidise the cost of AI Skills Training for SMEs in the Professional Business Services sector with grant funding available.
Eligible businesses, including law firms and in-house legal teams, can apply for funding for up to 50% of the cost of AI skills training to support employees to develop their technical skills and/or understanding of AI to be able to develop, deploy, or use AI in their role.
With the final application deadline of 18 August 2024 fast approaching, D2LT is offering support to small and medium professional services firms. As an approved AI training provider, we will guide you through the application process, including development of your proposal for AI training – e.g. an overview of your organisation’s AI adoption, AI skill levels and any challenges faced in upskilling employees in AI and/or implementing AI.
We will help you outline how the training funded through this scheme will help mitigate your business challenges, and what benefits and outcomes you expect to see within your organisation following the upskilling.
